Nascar Doug

Doug Loves Nascar! He loves going to the Rocky Mountian Raceway out in Magna. He takes his
little cart with him. He has to go the long way with his cart around to the other end of the bleachers. He has a bad back so that helps him get there. He or we sit in the Family section. Rocky the Racoon is the mascot, He is funny! They throw thing to the audience with a big stretchy rubber device that will shut in the air to get to the people. I caught a water bottle last time. When he gets the chance he watches the Big races on the TV!

Making Our Pathway Bright

We were discouraged after our excitement of our road was clear we were getting stuck in our driveway so our good friend in our ward came and shoveled our circle out with his little whats ya ma call it. We were so greatful for that help that we needed Thanks Mike Thanks for good freinds and neighbors

This winter was very cold!!! It got down to 13 below! That was cold! For 2 months we were froze up and had to stay at Doug's Dad in Rose Park which is the north side of Salt Lake. We sure got stuck alot. Thanks to our Neighbor who got a home, The roads were shoveled when we arrived back, we so afraid we would get stuck down the road, But when we turned on our street, Wow! It was blowed, because of my nieghbors home. But we had to get unfrozen still, we came back to see if we could stay there, But Doug worked and worked until everything was unfrozen, it took a week to get everything running again. I Love going to the Vernal Temple

I love going to the Vernal Utah Temple with my wonderful and sweet girlfriends from my ward, who works at the Temple. So I go with them and stay as long as they stay. I do work for the dead so families can be sealed together forever. I love being there! It is so peaceful, quiet, a place to come to from all the worldly troubles that is around it! It is like a peace of Heaven on earth. We are all brothers and sisters there. I make covenant unto the lord there, and I try to do my best to please My Heavenly Father. It is a place a prayer. It is the closest place to get to Heavenly Father, is in his Temple, and feel his spirit and feel the spirit of Jesus also who is our redeemer who will redeem us from our sins, if we only would repent.

In the temple there is a chapel where beautiful music plays so you can feel the spirit of the Lord and his son Jesus Christ, and read the scriptures there.

The Vernal Temple called me to be a sub for the other organist who are sick or can't make it there, so I am a sub organist for the temple now. It is only on Wednesday when I go. I am excited!

Reading the Book of Mormon

My other Book I love to read is the Book of Mormon! It has allot a great examples to help me with challenges in my Life. If my life in this world feels all wrong, I know where to go to make it feel right, my save place to be. If I am feeling down, I always go to the scripture to help me lift my spirit, and get my strength back. I know the world is not going to heal me, But I know my Heavenly Father can. That's why he sent Jesus to his earth to save us from all sadness, guilt, whatever gets me down he lifts me up. All I need to do is pray.

In the Book of Mormon in Alma 30, Teaches us about a man called Korihor who was an antichrist, one who ridicules Christ. After the people just have been born of God who listened to the prophet Alma who is the prophet then, and was just baptised and converted to the Lord, Here come Korihor who tells them that there is no God, no fall of man, no penalty for sin, and no Christ.

The people took Korihor to the prophet alma who was a judge & talked to Korihor. And Korihor did deny the Christ. Korihor asked for a sign to know there is a God, And Alma told him he would be stucked dumb, So he wanted the sign, then he was stucked dumb, and could not speak. After he was strucked dumb he wanted to change back, but it was done! Alma wrote on something and asked if there is a God, He said Yes. Now I know there is a God.

Korihor told Alma the devil appeared to me as an angel and he told me to say all these things to the people for they have gone astray. But god would not take it back, because he would go back and tell all the people the same thing again. After that he was a begger on the streets begging for food, and was tramble down and died.

So there are alot of Korihors here on earth, And I know these scriptures are true! The spirit touches my heart and I know it true! The prophets in the scripture have so much Faith, I know I have only a portion of their faith. But my faith is growing. I started as a seedling, and grew and grew, and still growing to have that much faith has they did!

Love Reading the Ensign

I sure Love reading the Ensign, It is a great book! I get it each month or I can read it on the internet. I get excited when it comes in the mail, and can't wait to read it! My ensign is here! Good! My first article to read is the first one, the one from our beloved First Presidency. President Monson and his to councilors are so great, They are a guide for me to follow, and shows me the right way to live.

There are 2 paragraphs in this article that explains us to heed the voice of the Prophets. They are here again as apostles, seers, and revelators, who are watchmen on the tower, messengers of superal healing truth. God speaks to us through them. They are aware of the different circumtances we membes are living.

They are in this world but not of this world. They point the way and they offer help for our difficulties, not through the wisdom of this world but from an eternal Source.

It is our responsibilty no only to listen but also to act upon his word that we may claim the blessings of the ordinances and covenants of the restored gosbel.

The Lord said," I the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say, but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.

So I want to listen and act upon what the Lord wants me to do, and to become the daughter I should be, doing my best, and keep my covenants I have made to the Lord. I want to inherit all that he has. So I need to do my best as I try to follow the direction the Prophets has taught me, so I can be with my Family for eternity.

My Mother's Birthday Party July 20th 2008

My niece Mindy planned a birthday Party for my mother her grandma. Her 80th Birthay! Wow! She called Friday, But I had to stay and take care of my church callings, and stay home and work, and go to the temple on Wednesday. So Doug had to go to Salt Lake to do work Saturday, So he got to go to the party. Wayne my brother showed up with his family, and his son Jacob has a girlfriend, Cool! Another wedding coming up! Never Know! Just maybe!
