When we arrived home!

When Doug got out of the truck to go and open the 5th wheel, he could hear water running! Come to find out, the filter under the sink broke and there was water gushing out, even out of the 5th wheel, under the doors and everywhere, we don't know how long it was going like that, but it flooded us out, the toilet was frozen, couldn't use that, The cold water was still working, but we thought that all the pipes were broken, but we were saved there. the filter on the back of the frig was broken so no drinking water there either, but we were blessed that the pipes did not freeze, Doug turned off the water, then looked and saw the filter broke, so there was water everywhere, so I called my freind Barbara, who has a homemade house that looks like a bed and breakfast, if we could stay there for the night, so we stayed there that night, the next day was Sunday and I had to play the piano for the ward Christmas program in church, so Doug went home to take care of things, and I went to church to take care of the calling. The carpet under and in front of my bed was soaked, and we was using a water vac to get some of the water. so I have been walking on boards so I won't get my socks wet. we have electic heaters to heat our 5th wheel. Right now I have 3 in my frontroom where I sleep, and I have an electic blacket that is toasty and warm. I have a running rug on top of the boards to keep dry. What fun it is! But the toilet works now, and everything is well now, Doug just has to buy the filters so we can have clean drinking water again. The rug is almost dry. But I filled up the big orange water jug full of drinking water so I do have some drinking water, so he will be going friday to Salt Lake.

Great View South west end of Vernal

This morning I looked out the window and it was foggy, then it cleared, then my freinds came and got me to go to the Temple, then it was foggy again, As we left on the way I saw a vision, I missed out by not taking a picture of it, The sight was that the fog was low, then the blue sky, then the sun shown through the clouds, it was neat. I was holding my camera waiting for the next opportunity to get a picture like it, But it was foggy from that point until we came out of the canyon into Vernal, I turned and there it was close to it, so I snapped the picture, the fog was a little ways off, but this was the closest to what I saw as I was going down the road from my road.
After we got out of the Temple we drove over across the street from the Dinasour and got it's picture. It is a couple of blocks away from the temple. It was a great sunny day in Vernal.

The Vernal Dinasour Santa

A Tribute to Fred R Brown

A tribute to Our Wonderful Bishop Fred Brown was aired on his radio station this morning, I learned alot about this great man, Him and his wife use to go Country Western dance years ago.. Oh how I wished I would have seen that. that would of been cool to see. Alot of people called in and said, He greeted people as an instant freind, He was a freind at the moment you met him, which is true. He had a wonderful Sense of Humor. He had that wonderful voice to listen to. He had the morning show with Awkeye, It was called the Fred and Awkeye morning show, They would tell jokes and funny stories, then Fred had his special show, played of the good oldies from way back then. They contributed some songs that he loved. When I got to hold his hand the last time when he was sick in his bed, while the choir sang his favorite songs, I went to see him alone befor the choir went in, he told me he was greatful that we had come to the ward, and he enjoyed me plaing for the choir. So the Choir is singing at the funeral Thursday.

His obituary is in the salt lake Tribute. It is a wonderful tribute in itself. He will be missed! Check it out on this wonderful link.
